Auditing driver’s logs and timecards
Under the state and federal hours-of-service rules, failure to complete the record of duty status (driver's daily log), failure to preserve the record, or making false reports on the record is illegal, making both the driver and his/her carrier liable for prosecution. The best way to make sure logs are being kept properly is by performing a regular audit of drivers' logs. This training program will cover the basics of efficiently and effectively auditing logs for drivers of property-carrying commercial motor vehicles.
Who should attend?: Drivers, owner-operators, managers, supervisors, safety directors and dispatchers.
What we cover: The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and their interpretations and best practices for ensuring that your drivers records of duty status (logbook) are complete and accurate. How is it presented?: Power Point, Hands-on inspection and audit of practice logs, Video & Handouts.
Date: 3/26/2008 - Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Place: Cat ‘n Fiddle, 118 Manchester St., Concord, NH.

On-site Training Option
The US DOT has specific training requirements for drivers and other employees of companies that use trucks in the furtherance of their commercial enterprises. In addition to solving your regulatory compliance requirements, our training programs will help solve your risk management and loss control challenges.
Peasley Safety Consulting will customize our training programs and bring them on-site to the location of your choice. Our training programs will give you and your employees the confidence of knowing how to better perform their work. Training topics are developed based on our thorough knowledge of your needs, as well as our experience in providing high-impact, on-site regulatory training to our clients for over 6 years.
To be most effective with your employees, we use a combination of media in training, including PowerPoint® presentations, videos, DVDs, guides, and manuals. The result? Easy-to-understand safety and compliance training that will help you increase safety awareness, reduce accidents and injuries, and avoid costly fines for non-compliance.
The on-site training option is most cost effective if you have a number of employees to train. Please contact us toll free 1-877-525-3581 or via email: wpeasley@safetruck.org for a no obligation training proposal and cost estimate.
